Rooftop Bar in Prenzlauer Berg
The ATM machine located in the ugly mall near my house is the only reason for me to step in there. While I was waiting in line to get my cash, a tray of cocktails was carried into the post office. Next thing I saw a sign for rooftop beach bar and found myself with a drink in hand admiring this view.

Founded in 1839 Rudolph Hertzog turned his small Manufactur-Waaren-Handlung store via mail order business for carpets, furniture and dress fabrics into Berlin’s biggest and most popular department store.

The (Peace) Wall is Gone
It was supposed to be a memorial for social injustice, gentrification & poverty. Put into - and blocking a main road of - a struggling part of Berlin-Kreuzberg. Named the “Peace Wall”, art & message of Nada Prlja completely failed its purpose. Looking at it I wasn’t even sure what part of the piece was “art” & what was “vandalism”. It is gone...

Berlin's bees love their pollen
Prinzessinnengarten is one of my favorite places to go in Kreuzberg. Looks like the same goes for Kreuzberg’s bees. This one could be one of Erika Mayr’s. Her beehive is not far from the garden. Just read & loved her book “Die Stadtbienen” about her beekeeping adventures in Berlin.
